ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East, urging all parties to exercise restraint. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office stated that no party would benefit from a new conflict in the region and called for avoiding actions that could harm peace and stability.
The spokesperson emphasized that negotiations and diplomacy are the most effective means for conflict resolution, and parties should adhere to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Islamabad. The MoU is crucial for promoting mutual respect and prosperity in the region.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei said that the understanding between Iran and the United States was based on the exchange of commitments. He accused the U.S. of creating challenges in the Strait of Hormuz and reiterated Iran’s commitment to safeguarding its national interests.
U.S. President Donald Trump has taken a hard stance on Iran, stating his intention to attack Iran. He emphasized the need for Iran’s denuclearization and accused former President Barack Obama of providing financial aid to Iran.
