Manama (Lord Media): Bahrain has claimed that its air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed missiles or other aerial projectiles launched by Iran. Royal Media Advisor Nabeel Al-Hamer stated on social media platform X that air raid sirens have sounded for the fourth time since Tuesday morning. He mentioned that Bahrain’s air defense was actively countering Iranian attacks and destroyed all incoming projectiles.
According to Bahraini authorities, security agencies remained fully active during the air defense operation, and citizens were advised to follow safety instructions. So far, there has been no official response from Iran regarding Bahrain’s claims, and the incident has not been independently verified.
This development comes amid heightened military tensions between the United States and Iran, complicating the security situation in the Gulf region. Bahrain hosts the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters, drawing global attention to the region. Defense experts suggest that if tensions persist, Gulf countries may need to keep their air defense systems on high alert, and diplomatic efforts are likely to intensify.
