Doha (Lord Media): Qatar and China have expressed deep concern over the rising tensions between Iran and the United States, urging all parties to exercise restraint, prevent further escalation, and continue diplomatic talks.
Qatar condemned Iran’s attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, labeling them detrimental to regional peace and stability. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need to shield the region from the repercussions of such unwarranted attacks.
The ministry stressed the importance of pursuing diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and advancing the progress of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. Qatar has played a mediating role in diplomatic communications between Iran and the US, making its statement particularly significant.
In Beijing, China also expressed concern over the tensions in the Middle East following US attacks on targets in Iran. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning emphasized that war in the Middle East is in no one’s interest and urged the adoption of negotiations and diplomatic channels.
The Chinese government called on both Iran and the US to demonstrate restraint and seek to resolve differences through dialogue. According to political analysts, the statements from Qatar and China reflect the international community’s support for a diplomatic resolution to Middle East tensions.
