Islamabad (Lord Media): The federal cabinet has approved the Hajj policy and plan for 2027-30. During a briefing, it was informed that under this policy, individuals wishing to perform Hajj can register for any year until 2030, and a priority waiting list will be established.
A savings scheme, in line with Islamic principles, is also being introduced. This will allow prospective pilgrims to benefit from the scheme for future Hajj plans, while the entire Hajj system is being digitized.
The federal cabinet emphasized that the appointment of Hajj assistants should be based on a transparent system and pure merit, and third-party validation for both private and government Hajj should be ensured.
