Kabul (Lord Media): Tensions have escalated in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province over control of mineral resources. Disputes have arisen between the Taliban government and local commander Jumma Khan Fateh regarding the distribution of these resources, resulting in ongoing conflict. Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah has declared Jumma Khan Fateh a rebel and ordered military action against him. Taliban special forces are present in Badakhshan to arrest him.
According to Afghan media, continuous aerial surveillance is being conducted in Badakhshan, with both drone flights and helicopter patrols underway. A significant Taliban contingent, comprising 50 military vehicles, is actively seeking Jumma Khan’s arrest.
Defiant Taliban commander Jumma Khan Fateh has announced he will not surrender under any circumstances and is prepared to resist any attack. Afghan media reports indicate that the Darwaz district of Badakhshan remains under Jumma Khan Fateh’s control.
