Kabul (Lord Media): A United Nations representative has reported that three out of four Afghan citizens lack basic necessities. Alexander De Croo, Administrator of the UN Development Programme, stated that most individuals in Afghanistan are unable to meet their fundamental needs.
In a statement on social media platform X, De Croo mentioned his visit to Afghanistan’s eastern provinces and earthquake-affected areas to assess the ground situation and determine the UN’s effective role in recovery efforts.
De Croo highlighted that millions in Afghanistan are facing hardships due to ongoing crises. He emphasized that while emergency aid saves lives, sustainable development offers people a chance to build their future.
Currently on an official visit to Kabul with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees’ representative, De Croo is reviewing the humanitarian crisis and relief operations.
