Karachi (Lord Media): Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram has strongly denied rumours of his death that were circulating on social media. In a video statement released on social media, he stated that fake news regarding his demise has been spreading for the past few days.
Wasim Akram remarked that videos created using artificial intelligence are easily identifiable. In a sarcastic tone, he saluted those who contacted him to inquire about his well-being.
He mentioned that fake videos included names and videos of Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, and other cricketers, which must have required effort. He expressed regret, saying that if these skills were used for positive purposes, greater success could be achieved.
Wasim Akram thanked his fans and well-wishers, assuring them that he is fine and expressing gratitude to all those concerned about him.
