Jordan Henderson injured during England’s celebrations

London (Lord Media): England’s veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson was injured while celebrating the team’s dramatic pre-quarterfinal victory against Mexico in the FIFA World Cup. Head coach Thomas Tuchel expressed concern over the injury, stating that Henderson’s wrist was severely affected.

Reports indicate that following England’s 3-2 win, Henderson fell while jumping over an advertising board, injuring his wrist. He was subsequently stretchered off the field and taken to the hospital for further examination.

After the match, Tuchel revealed that initial medical assessments suggest the injury is serious, marking a significant setback during the team’s moment of joy. Henderson is currently under medical supervision.

The 36-year-old Henderson has had limited opportunities in this World Cup, having only played a few minutes against Panama in the group stage. England is already dealing with Reece James’ injury and Jarell Quansah’s suspension due to a red card, adding to the team’s challenges ahead of the quarterfinal against Norway.
