Punjab starts strict crack down on helmet-less bikers

Lahore (Lord Media): The Punjab government has initiated a strict crackdown on motorcyclists not wearing helmets to enforce traffic regulations effectively. Under the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the traffic police in Lahore have begun operations to ensure 100% compliance with helmet usage.

Traffic officials stated that wearing helmets has been made mandatory for motorcyclists to protect citizens’ lives. Those riding without helmets will face fines, and their motorcycles will be impounded for one day.

Officials further mentioned that apart from helmet enforcement, strict actions are also being taken against motorcyclists violating lane rules, with their motorcycles being impounded as well.

According to traffic police, over 20,000 motorcycles have been impounded in the past month for various traffic violations. Authorities emphasized that these measures aim to safeguard citizens’ lives and ensure adherence to traffic laws. They urged citizens to wear helmets and fully comply with traffic regulations for their safety and that of others.
