Tehran (Lord Media): The funeral prayer for Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was held, drawing millions of mourners to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosque. Delegations from various countries also attended the ceremony.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and other high-ranking officials were present at the funeral. Ayatollah Sobhani led the funeral prayer.
The funeral will be conducted in three stages, after which separate prayers will be held for his family and grandson.
Furthermore, on July 8, the funeral procession will move from Najaf to Karbala, with Ayatollah Khamenei to be laid to rest on July 9.
