Sindh High Court orders recovery of two missing girls from Clifton

Karachi (Lord Media): The Sindh High Court has issued notices to police officials in a case involving the alleged abduction of two young girls selling flowers in the Clifton area. The court has summoned Additional IG Karachi, relevant DIGs, and SSP Jacobabad, directing them to recover 14-year-old Bebo and 6-year-old Alina and present them in court on July 8.

According to the petitioner’s lawyer, Bushra Abbas Advocate, the girls are daughters of a poor rickshaw driver, Hayatullah, who sold flowers in Clifton to support their father. The lawyer stated that the girls left home on May 12 but did not return.

The family searched everywhere but could not find any trace of the girls. The petition alleges that a person named Qurban, reportedly a relative of DIG Usman Ghani, is involved in the abduction and is being protected by SSP Jacobabad.

The petition further claims that the local police station refused to register an FIR. The lawyer has requested the court to ensure the immediate recovery of the girls and conduct a transparent investigation under the supervision of DIG Amir Farooqi or Tanveer Alam Odho, and provide protection to the petitioner and the family.
