Pet parrot sets world record for longevity

Carolina (Lord Media): In the United States, a pet parrot named Spoodles has set a world record for longevity. According to Guinness World Records, this green parrot with a purple head, owned by a family in Carolina, has become the world’s oldest pet parrot at the age of 32.

Amanda Beth, the parrot’s owner, shared that in 1997, when she was 23, her mother gifted her the parrot, which was then 3 years old. On March 28 this year, a celebration was held as the parrot reached 32 years and 28 days, officially becoming the world’s oldest living parrot.

Guinness World Records notes that parrots typically live 15 to 20 years in domestic settings, but Spoodles has significantly surpassed this average lifespan.
