Tehran (Lord Media): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences to the Iranian people on the passing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, describing him as a great scholar and leader. Muslims worldwide will remember him as a remarkable leader.
Speaking to Iranian media, PM Shehbaz praised the late Ayatollah for his steadfastness, courage, patience, and foresight. He highlighted Ayatollah Khamenei’s sincere and unwavering commitment to serving Iran.
The Prime Minister stated that not only Iran but millions of Muslims globally will remember him as a great leader. He conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Iran on this loss.
He emphasized the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran, noting that their hearts beat in unison and they stand together in every situation. He expressed solidarity with the Iranian people on behalf of the Pakistani nation.
At the invitation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s funeral. His delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior government officials.
