Kabul (Lord Media): Afghanistan is facing a significant decline in aid funds due to the Taliban regime’s global diplomatic isolation. According to the Norwegian Refugee Council, only one U.S. dollar is available for every six dollars needed. The United States has also halted its financial assistance, which previously accounted for 40 percent of Afghanistan’s total aid.
The report indicates that Afghanistan has, for the first time, been included in the list of the world’s neglected crises. German analyst on Afghan affairs, Thomas Ruttig, stated that the Taliban should not be diplomatically recognized until they prove respect for the human rights of all Afghans.
Experts suggest that human rights violations, terrorism, and drug trafficking have made the Taliban unacceptable to the world. According to Afghanistan International, the country is now among the world’s least funded humanitarian crises.
