India (Lord Media): A man who killed his wife by pushing her into the Sabarmati River nine years ago has finally been arrested. According to police, Dinesh Bhai Solanki murdered his wife, Komalben Solanki, in 2017 and filed a false missing person report.
Police revealed that Dinesh took his wife out on the pretext of a Rath Yatra outing and pushed her into the river, leading to her drowning. The next day, he reported her missing to the police station, and her body, found in the river, was declared unclaimed and cremated.
Recently, Dinesh confessed to the murder while intoxicated in front of friends, prompting police to reopen the old case. Investigations confirmed the crime through mobile phone evidence and witness statements.
According to the Crime Branch, domestic disputes between Dinesh and his wife began just four months into their marriage, leading to the murder. Dinesh has a prior criminal record, and further investigations are ongoing.
