Islamabad (Lord Media): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation, agreeing to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote regional peace. The discussion on Wednesday covered brotherly relations and matters of mutual interest in detail.
Prime Minister Sharif shared on social media his gratitude for the successes in Islamic relations with the Emir of Qatar. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress of the Bergenstock negotiations.
The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of continuous dialogue for sustainable peace and praised Qatar’s leadership role. He also thanked the Emir for condolences over the Ras Laffan incident and appreciated the Qatari government’s hospitality.
The two countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding diplomatic, economic, and energy cooperation. The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to the Emir of Qatar to visit Pakistan.
