Doha (Lord Media): Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, with assurances from relevant parties that it will not be closed again.
In an interview with a British magazine, the Qatari Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of direct communication between Washington and Tehran to clear potential mines and other obstacles in the Strait of Hormuz.
He highlighted that an effective hotline between the U.S. and Iran could prevent any obstructions or misunderstandings in the Strait, while a communication line established through Switzerland could play a crucial role in addressing misinformation.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani also suggested forming a new security framework between regional countries and Iran. Additionally, Gulf countries are expected to provide financial support for a proposed 300 bn USD investment fund with Iran.
The Qatari Prime Minister further stated that the proposed 300 bn USD investment fund with Iran could prove to be a significant project for regional stability and economic growth.
