Oman establishes temporary Hormuz corridor

Muscat (Lord Media): Oman has announced the establishment of a temporary maritime corridor in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the Omani news agency, new maritime guidelines have been issued, requiring ships passing through the Strait to make prior contact. Oman states that special arrangements have been made to ensure the safe passage of vessels.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded to the move, stating that no country can impose tolls or fees on the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that imposing taxes or fees on international waterways is against international law. Rubio urged Iran to act as a responsible state and warned that attacks by Iranian proxies will not allow tensions in the region to subside.
