Iranian president concludes Pakistan visit

Islamabad (Lord Media): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian completed his one-day visit to Pakistan and departed for home. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and other Pakistani officials bid him farewell.

The Iranian president arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday for a one-day visit, landing at Islamabad’s Nur Khan Airbase. President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed him at the airbase.

At the Prime Minister’s House, the Iranian president received a guard of honor from the armed forces, and the national anthems of both countries were played. The Prime Minister introduced members of the federal cabinet, while the Iranian president introduced his delegation.

Separate meetings were held between the Iranian president and President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Asim Munir. The visit aimed to appreciate Pakistan’s efforts in mediating between the U.S. and Iran, for which the Iranian president thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Discussions during the meetings focused on Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations, regional connectivity, and economic cooperation, with a reaffirmed commitment to strengthening regional peace.
