Israel smuggled Starlink to Iran, says Bennett

Jerusalem (Lord Media): Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has revealed that his government smuggled Starlink internet receivers into Iran to help anti-government protesters maintain access to the internet and social media. Bennett made this disclosure at the JNS International Policy Summit, stating that the devices were intended to aid in organizing the protests.

Starlink, a satellite internet service by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, provides internet access without the need for ground infrastructure. Iran has previously accused Israel and the U.S. of smuggling such devices to undermine its national security. While Starlink is not officially permitted to operate in Iran, Elon Musk had stated that the service is active in the country.

Bennett noted that the plan was designed to assist Iranian protesters in organizing and potentially toppling the Iranian government. He claimed that the current Israeli government halted this initiative, and when protests erupted, the necessary infrastructure was not in place.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has not commented on Bennett’s statements, nor has SpaceX. Iranian authorities have historically suspended internet services during protests in the country.

Naftali Bennett described Iran’s government as “obsolete, failed, and disconnected from the people,” predicting that it will collapse like the Soviet Union.
