Islamabad (Lord Media): A massive fire at the weekly budget market in Sector H-9 of the federal capital has destroyed 335 shops and stalls. Rescue and fire brigade teams struggled extensively to control the blaze.

According to rescue sources, the fire erupted suddenly, engulfing various sections of the market. Initially, reports indicated damage to 70 shops, but the extent of the destruction increased over time.

District administration officials stated that additional fire brigade vehicles were called in from Rawalpindi, while Rescue 1122 teams were actively engaged in the relief efforts. Authorities reported that seven out of nine sections were brought under control, with approximately 80% of the fire contained.
