ISLAMABAD, June 23 (LORD): Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian was accorded a guard of honour at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday during his official visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly received the visiting Iranian president upon his arrival at the PM House, where a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan’s tri-services presented the guard of honour.
President Pezeshkian inspected the guard of honour before participating in the official welcoming ceremony.
Following the ceremony, members of the Pakistani and Iranian delegations were introduced to the two leaders.
As part of the visit, the Iranian president also planted a sapling on the lawn of the Prime Minister House, a gesture symbolizing the friendship and growing ties between the two neighbouring countries.
The visit comes amid ongoing high-level engagements between Pakistan and Iran aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and consultations on regional and international issues of mutual interest. LORD
