Sargodha (Lord Media): In a significant development, the main suspect in the rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl, Mintaha, was killed in an alleged police encounter in Sargodha. Mintaha had gone missing a few days ago after leaving home for a nearby shop. Her body was later discovered in a room above the shop.
According to police sources, the suspect, Arsalan, worked at the shop and allegedly lured the child away. Following the incident, District Police Officer Suhaib Ashraf formed a six-member investigation team to probe the case. The police had also detained the shop owner and other suspects for questioning.
Police reported that Arsalan was killed during an encounter. Mintaha’s funeral prayer was held at a Sargodha cemetery, attended by a large number of citizens.
