Under the plan, stations in Dubai and Al Dhaid in Sharjah will open on September 30, 2026. The railway service in Abu Dhabi’s western region of Al Dhafra will commence in December 2026, while Sharjah’s central railway station will become part of the national railway network in March 2027. Emirati officials state that this project will play a significant role in promoting travel, trade, and tourism across the country.
