Tehran (Lord Media): Iranian Parliament Speaker Baqer Qalibaf has confirmed the signing of an agreement to release 12 billion U.S. dollars of Iran’s frozen assets.
Qalibaf stated that an agreement has been reached to establish a communication system for ship movements in the Strait of Hormuz to prevent any potential conflicts or tensions.
Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also revealed that, based on Swiss negotiations, there is an agreement to guarantee Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. Iranian negotiation team head Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have arrived in Oman for discussions on the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. Treasury Department has issued a significant general license allowing the limited sale of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products, enabling Iran to continue selling crude oil and other petroleum products on the global market until August 21.
A 60-day roadmap has been approved for a final agreement between the U.S. and Iran in Switzerland, with an agreement to establish a committee to oversee the negotiations. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Basinet stated that the ban on purchasing Iranian oil remains in place for North Korea, Cuba, and Ukraine.
