Lahore (Lord Media): A fraud scheme targeting nurses in Punjab has been uncovered, where fake callers are attempting to extort illegal payments under the guise of facilitating transfers, leaves, and resignations. According to the Punjab Health Department, some nurses have already transferred money to these numbers, and there are reports of WhatsApp accounts of nurses in government hospitals being hacked.
The Health Department has identified suspicious mobile numbers and issued alerts to all teaching hospitals, medical colleges, and nursing institutions. Nurses have been warned not to share personal or financial information with unauthorized individuals and to report any suspicious calls to the administration immediately.
