New York (Lord Media): Pakistan has called for an immediate ceasefire and resumption of negotiations to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In a statement issued by Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Deputy Permanent Representative Usman Jadoon expressed regret over the lack of positive progress in ending the war during a UN Security Council meeting on the Ukraine issue.
Jadoon highlighted the damage caused to civilians and infrastructure due to the ongoing conflict and emphasized the need for de-escalation and constructive diplomacy to resolve the Ukraine crisis.
Pakistan reiterated its full support for a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict and appealed for consideration of the UN Charter, international law, and the legitimate national security interests of all parties involved.
