Lahore (Lord Media): For the first time, Punjab has implemented security arrangements for Muharram processions using artificial intelligence. Under this system, a decade’s worth of security records for sensitive processions and gatherings have been fully digitized.
Officials have stated that the Special Branch and district administration have been connected on a single digital platform to ensure all security information is available through a centralized system.
According to police sources, an AI-based early warning system has been activated for Muharram security, which will promptly identify potential threats.
Based on ten years of incident records, new security grading for sensitive processions has been conducted, and security deployment decisions are being made based on this data.
Officials further mentioned that a central control room will have real-time monitoring capabilities from the start to the end of the processions, allowing continuous oversight of the situation.
