Shikarpur (Lord Media): In a tragic incident in the village of Budho, Shikarpur, a Muharram procession’s flagpole came into contact with electrical wires, resulting in the death of eight mourners and injuring five others. According to rescue sources, local residents and rescue teams quickly transported the injured and deceased to a nearby hospital immediately after the accident.
The injured were given initial medical aid and then transferred to hospitals in Sukkur and Larkana for better treatment. Upon receiving news of the incident, the Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and other administrative and police officials arrived at the scene to oversee rescue operations.
A former federal minister also visited the site to express condolences to the affected families. The administration has initiated an investigation into the incident, while monitoring the situation in the area.
Following the accident, a somber atmosphere enveloped the village of Budho, with the local community plunged into grief and mourning.
