Quetta (Lord Media): The Balochistan government has announced the termination of all fuel conservation and austerity measures. According to a notification issued by the Secretary of the Services and General Administration Department, all austerity restrictions imposed since March 10, 2026, have been lifted.
The announcement states that markets, shopping malls, and bazaars will close at 9 PM, while wedding halls and marquees are allowed to remain open until 10 PM. Restaurants and cafes will close by 11 PM, with fruit, vegetable, grocery, and general stores permitted to operate until the same time.
The notification further mentions that pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories, and clinics will not be subject to any time restrictions. Bakeries, tandoors, milk, and dairy shops are also exempt from these timings. Petrol pumps, CNG stations, and electric vehicle charging stations will have complete exemption.
The government has also exempted gym sports facilities, sports, paddle courts, IT companies, and call centers from the restrictions.
