London (Lord Media): The World Test Championship (WTC) final may be moved from Lord’s following concerns over the pitch. British media reports indicate that after the unsatisfactory rating of the pitch used for the England vs New Zealand Test, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering shifting the WTC final to The Oval.
While no final decision has been made, the ICC has committed to hosting WTC finals in England until 2031. Despite potentially losing the WTC final, Lord’s is still set to host two Test matches, as per the agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
According to British media, the single Test match between Pakistan and England, scheduled at Old Trafford, may be played at Lord’s instead.
