Lahore (Lord Media): In recent days, solar panel prices have seen a record decrease of 2000 rupees. The prices of solar panels and batteries are declining due to no tax increase in the budget, leading to a reduction of up to 2000 rupees in the prices of various wattage solar panels.
Sources indicate that a further decrease of 7000 rupees is expected in the next two weeks, while lithium battery prices are anticipated to drop by 25,000 to 200,000 rupees.
Market sources revealed that battery prices had been increased by 25,000 to 200,000 rupees, while importers and retailers had raised solar panel prices by 5,000 to 7,000 rupees before the budget.
Reports of an increase in sales tax on solar systems from 11 to 18 percent proved false, allowing importers and retailers to earn millions of rupees in the days leading up to the budget.
