Train collision near Bedford kills one, injures 89

London (Lord Media): A train collision near Bedford, approximately 100 kilometers north of London, resulted in one fatality and injuries to 89 people. According to British Transport Police, the incident occurred at 5:15 PM on Friday south of Bedford, involving two East Midlands Railway trains. One person died at the scene, while 11 sustained critical injuries, 22 were seriously hurt, and 56 suffered minor injuries. The East of England Ambulance Service reported that over 20 ambulances and 6 air ambulances participated in the rescue operation.
