Islamabad (Lord Media): The National Assembly was presented with details of mandatory expenditures exceeding 407 trillion 41 billion 55 crore rupees. A total of 259 trillion 92 billion 20 crore rupees has been allocated for domestic debt repayment, while 69 trillion 82 billion rupees is set aside for interest payments on domestic loans.
For foreign debt repayment, over 58 trillion 36 billion rupees have been allocated, with 10 trillion 71 billion 39 crore rupees designated for interest on foreign loans. The Supreme Court is allocated 7 billion 44 crore rupees, and the Federal Constitutional Court receives 6 billion 4 crore rupees.
The Islamabad High Court is allocated 2 billion 36 crore rupees, and 9 billion 82 crore rupees are set aside for auditing purposes. The Federal Ombudsman is allocated 2 billion 12 crore 35 lakh rupees, while the Federal Tax Ombudsman receives 64 crore 55 lakh rupees.
For elections, 10 billion 57 crore 75 lakh rupees have been allocated, and short-term external debt repayment is set at 1 trillion 30 billion rupees. The National Assembly is allocated 7 billion 96 crore rupees, and the Senate receives 6 billion 42 crore rupees.
Allowances, gratuities, and pensions are allocated 6 billion 93 crore rupees, with 50 crore rupees for foreign missions and 53 crore 94 lakh rupees for the law and justice sector.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized expanding the tax net instead of burdening salaried individuals. He stated in the National Assembly that there have been no changes in budget figures or economic indicators.
