Quetta (Lord Media): Dr. Mah Noor Nasir, a victim of an acid attack in Quetta, will be sent to the United States for further treatment. Shahid Rind, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, stated that the government has initiated necessary procedures for her transfer. Dr. Mah Noor will continue to receive treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for another week.
The incident occurred recently at Quetta’s Sandeman Hospital when an individual threw acid on Lady Doctor Mah Noor Nasir. The suspect was later killed in an alleged police encounter. According to police, the attack took place in the hospital’s general surgery unit.
Hospital ward boy Abdul Razzaq Turki was also severely injured while attempting to protect Dr. Mah Noor and received treatment in Quetta. Dr. Mah Noor was subsequently moved to Karachi for further care. Abdul Razzaq Turki, an employee at Sandeman Hospital, suffered burns while saving Dr. Mah Noor.
A spokesperson for the Balochistan government stated that the government is fully responsible for the lady doctor’s treatment, and investigations into various aspects of the incident are ongoing.
