World (Lord Media): Iran’s football team has had its request to enter the United States denied just two days before their FIFA World Cup match. The Iranian Football Federation stated that travel restrictions are affecting the team’s preparations, and they plan to file a complaint with FIFA.
The federation’s spokesperson revealed that permission was sought for the team to arrive in Los Angeles two days before their match against Belgium, but the request was rejected.
Andrew Giuliani, Executive Director of the White House FIFA Task Force, stated that the team would only be allowed to enter the US a day before the match and must return on the same day.
Iran’s next match is scheduled in the US against Belgium and Egypt.
