Islamabad (Lord Media): A drone from the Afghan Taliban government attempting to enter Pakistani airspace was intercepted and destroyed by the Pakistan Air Force’s defense system.
The Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, through its fact-check account, dismissed claims by the Afghan Taliban of targeting alleged Daesh hideouts in the border areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan with drone strikes.
The statement noted that the Taliban government is attempting to create an impression through various official statements and propaganda sources that they have targeted terrorist hideouts in border areas using drones. However, these claims are unfounded.
The Ministry of Information stated that camps of over two dozen terrorist organizations, including Daesh, are actually located in areas controlled by the Afghan Taliban, where they continue to receive patronage.
The ministry labeled the Afghan Taliban’s claims as misleading, stating that these statements are an attempt to divert attention from the real challenges of terrorism in the region and hold no truth.
