Storms claim 10 lives, injure many in Pakistan

Peshawar (Lord Media): Torrential rains across various cities in Pakistan have resulted in accidents that claimed the lives of 10 people and injured several others. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), nine people lost their lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the past 24 hours due to rain-related incidents. The deceased include five men, two women, and two children. Incidents occurred in Dera Ismail Khan, Upper Dir, Kohat, and Orakzai, affecting four houses.

In Punjab, following a dusty storm, some areas experienced heavy rain while others saw light showers. At Kot Qaisrani, travelers were trapped in a stream. Ten individuals riding on a tractor trolley were rescued from the stream.

In Faisalabad, the roof of a house collapsed on Kokianwala Road, injuring five people. Meanwhile, in Mian Channu, a person died and over ten people, including children, were injured due to storm-related incidents. The rain is expected to continue until June 22.
