PTI leaders divided over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget

Peshawar (Lord Media): Internal disagreements have emerged within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the upcoming fiscal budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Disgruntled party leaders have expressed concerns over the budget presentation and have called a meeting today at 2 PM.

Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani stated that the meeting will devise a strategy concerning the budget. He mentioned that the Chief Minister had previously assured that the budget would not be presented before meeting the PTI founder, but now he is contradicting his own decision.

Mushtaq Ghani further questioned how pressure would be exerted on the federal government if the budget is presented, while no pressure is being applied for meetings with the PTI founder.

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar remarked that presenting the budget is a provincial matter and passing it is a constitutional and legal obligation. He emphasized that the budget has no connection with the federal government and is not being passed on its directive.
