Nida Dar returns to Pakistan women’s cricket

Lahore (Lord Media): Veteran all-rounder Nida Dar has announced her availability for the Pakistan women’s cricket team after nearly a year-long hiatus. Nida had taken a break from cricket in April 2025 due to personal and professional issues, which had also impacted her mental health.

In a message on social media, Nida expressed that she is feeling better and is ready to play for the team again. She stated her commitment to work hard and deliver the best performance as per the team’s needs.

The 39-year-old last represented Pakistan in the T20 World Cup against New Zealand in October 2024. Following that, she was not offered a central contract due to form and fitness issues.

Despite these challenges, Nida Dar remains one of Pakistan’s most successful all-rounders. She is the first Pakistani player to take 100 wickets in T20 internationals and holds the record with a total of 144 wickets. In batting, she has also excelled, scoring over two thousand runs in T20 international matches.
