Tehran (Lord Media): Iran has announced a joint management system with Oman for the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that both countries will consult with other regional nations on this matter.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, Iran and Oman will develop a joint management mechanism and continue cooperation and consultation with regional countries as needed.
The spokesperson further mentioned that maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz will be restored to normal within a specified period. This process is Iran’s responsibility and requires no external intervention.
The spokesperson also noted that a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States is under consideration for signing by the presidents of both countries. The U.S. president announced that under the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be fully opened from Friday with no toll charges.
