Lahore (Lord Media): Renowned singer Abrar-ul-Haq has accused Bollywood of stealing his famous song ‘Nach Punjaban’ using forged documents. Abrar made these allegations during a conversation with host Mubashir Hashmi on Geo Podcast.
Abrar-ul-Haq stated that he never sold his song ‘Nach Punjaban’ to Bollywood and when he questioned them, he received an interesting response. He further explained that he was told to ask his friend Haroon, but he clarified that the song was not given to Haroon and it remains his property.
Abrar revealed that fake documents with forged signatures were created. He mentioned that Bollywood has done this with multiple artists and knows how to manipulate the narrative.
When asked by the host if permission was taken for the use of ‘Nach Punjaban’ in Karan Johar’s film, Abrar-ul-Haq said no permission was granted and the entire film was marketed around the song. He disclosed that he has filed a case against this injustice.
