G7 agrees to reduce Strait of Hormuz reliance

Paris (Lord Media): G7 countries have agreed to reduce their reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, as stated in a joint declaration at the G7 summit in France. The declaration welcomed the U.S.-Iran agreement and emphasized the need for ensuring free navigation to facilitate the use of maritime passages without restrictions or tariffs.

Global leaders at the summit expressed determination to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, highlighting that regional threats will be considered in negotiations. The declaration also stressed the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Lebanon. Additionally, an announcement was made to increase alternative energy sources.

G7 leaders prioritized Ukraine’s freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The joint statement expressed a commitment to increasing pressure on Russia’s war economy.
