Karachi (Lord Media): Pakistan has announced an extension of the airspace ban on Indian flights until July 24. The Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a new NOTAM stating that Indian-registered commercial and military aircraft will be barred from entering Pakistan for another month. The airspace will remain closed until 5 a.m. on July 24, 2026. The NOTAM also specifies that aircraft leased by Indian airlines and those owned or operated by Indian individuals will be affected by this ban. This restriction has been in place since April 23, 2025, causing Indian airlines significant financial losses.
The ban has resulted in losses amounting to billions of Indian rupees for the Indian airlines due to the prolonged closure of Pakistani airspace. The restriction applies to all Indian-registered aircraft, including those on lease and operated by Indian nationals.
