Man arrested for blackmailing women online

Islamabad (Lord Media): The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a suspect accused of blackmailing women under the guise of providing online spiritual services. According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the suspect lured innocent women by offering amulets and spiritual guidance.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect gained the trust of women and then blackmailed them. Furthermore, he deceitfully obtained indecent images and private videos, extorting large sums of money from the victims.

The spokesperson stated that the suspect’s mobile phone has been seized and sent for forensic examination to gather further evidence. A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), and efforts are underway to apprehend his accomplices.

According to the NCCIA, the investigation is progressing rapidly, and more arrests are possible. This is the agency’s second operation this week targeting suspects accused of online harassment of women. Three days ago, similar operations were conducted in Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, where mobile phones and other digital evidence were recovered.
