UK minister praises Pakistan’s peace role

Islamabad (Lord Media): British Deputy Foreign Minister Hamish Falconer commended Pakistan’s positive role in fostering reconciliation between Iran and the United States during a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir have played a historic role in establishing peace, highlighting Pakistan as a proponent of global peace.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to enhance cooperation between the two countries in areas including counter-terrorism, illegal migration, institutional collaboration, and police training. Joint efforts to resolve the issue of fake student visas were also decided.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that indiscriminate actions against illegal migration and human trafficking are ongoing in Pakistan, with positive outcomes from the upscale project.

He expressed concern over terrorist activities originating from Afghanistan, urging the Afghan government to prevent its territory from being used against Pakistan.

Federal ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from both countries attended the meeting.
