US, Iraq agree to disarm militias

Baghdad (Lord Media): The U.S. embassy in Iraq announced an agreement to disarm militias operating outside state control. This decision followed a meeting between Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi and U.S. President’s special envoy Tom Barrack, as stated in a joint communiqué.

According to the U.S. embassy, both leaders emphasized the importance of making Iraq a terrorism-free and secure state, while also highlighting the significance of Iraqi sovereignty and regional peace.

Additionally, U.S. President Trump has extended an invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister for a visit to the White House.
