Pakistan’s national squash team departed from Islamabad on Monday to participate in the 3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championships 2026, set to be held in Sarawak, Malaysia, from June 18 to 21.
The delegation is being led by Air Commodore (Retd.) Amir Nawaz, Secretary of the Pakistan Squash Federation, and accompanied by head coach Fahim Gul.
Pakistan has entered two teams in the prestigious continental event. The first team comprises Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal. Noor Zaman captured the World Junior Championship title in 2025, while Nasir Iqbal is regarded as one of Pakistan’s most experienced players on the international circuit.

The second team features Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan. Hamza Khan won the World Junior Championship in 2023, while Asim Khan brings considerable international experience to the squad.
Pakistan will be looking to improve on its performance from last year, when it fielded a single team and won the silver medal at the 2nd Asian Doubles Squash Championships, also held in Sarawak.
Officials expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and wished the players success in the tournament as Pakistan seeks to add another achievement to its squash legacy.
