PAF training aircraft crashes, 2 pilots martyred near Mardan

Mardan (Lord Media): A Pakistan Air Force training aircraft crashed near Mardan, resulting in the martyrdom of two pilots. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incident occurred during a training flight, and the aircraft was destroyed upon impact. The martyred pilots have been identified as Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi.

The military spokesperson stated that an inquiry board has been formed by the Air Headquarters to determine the causes of the crash. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed deep sorrow and regret over the incident.

The Prime Minister, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed condolences and paid tribute to the martyred pilots. The Prime Minister prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families.

Mohsin Naqvi remarked that Captain Qasim and Captain Talha achieved the great honor of martyrdom while performing their duty, and the entire nation is proud of their sacrifice. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan declared the sacrifices of the martyrs as a source of pride for the nation.
