England’s Robinson out of Test due to knee injury

London (Lord Media): England’s cricket team faces a setback in the ongoing Test series against New Zealand as fast bowler Ollie Robinson is sidelined from the second Test due to a knee injury. According to British media, the 32-year-old experienced pain in his right knee following a training session on Friday, leading to a precautionary scan. Consequently, Robinson has been ruled out of the second match.

Robinson played a crucial role in England’s 115-run victory in the first Test, taking a total of seven wickets, including five in the first innings. His absence will be filled by newcomer Henry Crocombe, who has been added to the squad.

The second Test is set to commence on Wednesday at The Oval. England is already without captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson, who are unavailable due to an ongoing inquiry into a separate matter.
